You know the romper that you lived in all summer long?  Yeah, that one.  Stop before you pack it away!  I know the weather has gotten colder and it certainly doesn’t feel like summer anymore but that’s no reason to part with it.  Not just yet, anyway.

One of my favourite rompers this summer was this blue striped number from Club Monaco.  Love the wide legged bottom coupled with the fitted top.  For more deets on this romper, check out this post!

Club Monaco Romper

Fall is not in full swing quite yet, but it’s already too cold to wear this strapless romper on its own.  So, for the “Now” look, I layered it with a white V-neck shirt underneath.  It’s still light, airy and has an easy-going summer feel to it.  I chose these mustard mules for this look because I just lovvvee the blue and yellow combo.  AND the mules are super comfy too!

French chic

For the “Later” look, I went the opposite and layered on top with a sweater.   This sweater is so cute!  The floral embroidery is such a pretty twist on the classic black and white stripes.  The thick horizontal stripes of the sweater created a perfect stripes on stripes look with the thin vertical stripes of the romper.  I never met stripes I did not like!

Topshop Slingbacks

I paired this outfit with black slingbacks.  I LOVEE that the low v-cut makes your legs look so much longer than they actually are.

French chic

And I completed the look with this white beret.  I was going for that French-chic vibe, can you tell?

You can pretty much transition any romper into the fall by either layering under or over!  Ah, the art of layering!! And remember, that sweaters do not always have to go over your romper.  If you’ve got one with pretty top details, try pairing a fitted turtleneck sweater underneath and turn it into a fab fall outfit.  Short rompers?  No problem!  Rock it with a pair of thigh-highs.

So, there you have it my loves.  Four different items to wear now and wear later to help you transition into fall.  Which one was your fave?  Share in comments below!!!  Hope you enjoyed the series.  There may or may not be a bonus one so stay tuned!!!

I guess it’s officially fall now (in two days).  Ah..summer I miss you already but not gonna lie, I’m looking forward to living in cozy knits for a while.  Happy fall, loves!
