Ditch the Dress

Hi loves!  How was your Christmas?  I hope it was magical and full of love, joy and laughter.  I know a lot of people get the holiday stress leading up to Christmas with the Christmas shopping and dinner plans and whatnot…but I hope, on Christmas, you were able to unwind and just be present in the moment with your loved ones!  That’s one of the many reasons why I love Christmas.  It really gives you a chance to spend quality time with your family, friends and maybe even in memory of those who cannot physically be there with you, if you let it.  It’s a nice break from this crazy, busy world we live in.

It always feels like Christmas comes and goes in the blink of an eye, doesn’t it?  The damage it does every year to my waistline…not so much, but hey that’s a different story.  And after Christmas, comes New Year’s.  If you’re like most, you probably haven’t even given much thought to your perfect NYE outfit until now.  My suggestion?  Ditch the dress this holiday season!

I say that because there’s a better alternative (sorry, LBD!).  And no, before you go there, I do not mean swap it for your birthday suit.   What I do mean is, go for a jumpsuit instead.  I love love love love jumpsuits.  How can I not?  There are so many reasons to love them!  They’re so chic and easy.  You don’t have to worry about coordinating your top and your bottom.  You don’t have to worry about your dress/skirt riding up.  The pant legs will keep you warm (and you don’t have to worry about shaving your legs…just being real here).  Sure, the trip to the washroom may not be as easy, but it’s so worth the struggle!  Honestly, you’ll look like a total boss babe in any jumpsuit.

I’m wearing the Curtis Jumpsuit by WAYF in this post.  The red is so perfect for the holiday season.  I also love the pairing of wide legs and fitted top, it really accentuates the waistline.  If red ain’t your thing, I’ve also found other jumpsuits which I think would be perfect for NYE!

So what are your NYE plans?  Share in the comments below! 🙂
